One of my employers (I have 3!) Is Global Mission Partners. We support the work of a legend guy called BJ Mpofu in Zimbabwe, we have finally got a new truck through to him and his workers after massive struggles. As you know to buy anything in Zimbabwe is impossible as their currency is out of control, so to get the truck in to the country was an adventure! Today we heard this from him –
“Today our truck went to deliver maize meal to a rural area along the Harare Rd. While driving along the highway an elderly woman with her grandchildren were collecting any maize dropped on the road. The crew was so touched by this sight they stopped their truck and gave the old lady and her grand children a bag of maize meal. They also brought back stories of people who go for days without a meal and who survive by eating wild fruits. They described their experience of people who cried after they were given maize meal and who could not believe that their family were going to have a meal in the evening. I wanted to let you know that this is the impact the donations you give mean to our starving nation. May God bless those whose generosity is touching our people in such a special way.”
