Today we celebrated “All Saints Day”. We learnt that Halloween is actually All Saints Eve. Holy Evening = Halloween, get it?
Anyway, Christine talked to us about the fact that the bible refers to all in Christ as saints, so all the kids got to go one at a time into the bathroom to look for a real live saint. I was waiting for them and although I am a saint 🙂 I was not the one they were to find, the saint was looking back at them in the mirror.
Then we all made stained glass windows in the shape of a cross with the names of saints in our lives, people who have shone Christ to us throughout our years.
It was a great afternoon, especially the giant game of kick to kick footy on the front lawn.
