good luck with the tyre farms. I tried it a couple of times and had very mixed results. I think it gets pretty hot inside those rubber stacks. But maybe my technique was wrong.
On a positive note, I love growing spuds. My best harvest was almost 1,000 beautiful Desirees from about 150 seed potatoes. I started harvesting about 4.30am one December and handed out bags full to the neighbours and stuffed an old wardrobe in the garage full with the rest.
We enjoyed eating all kinds of potato variations over the next six months.
I sometimes ruminate on life, you know, and I reckon I could happily spend the rest of my life growing spuds in a backyard.
